TAMBACOUNDA : Un garçon de 8 ans se noie dans le bras du fleuve de Mansadala
The village of Diyabougou, in the commune of Komoti in the department of Tambacounda, is mourning the tragic death of an 8-year-old boy named Mr. Camara. He was swept away by the waters of the Gambia River branch, located at the entrance to the village of Mansadala, in the commune of Dialacoto. The events date back to the afternoon of September 3, 2025, at around 4:50 p.m.
According to sources close to the investigation, little Camara left the family home after lunch to go swimming with his friends in the river arm. The current swept him away near the bridge. Alerted, the villagers set out to search for him.
After a 30-minute search, they recovered the lifeless body and alerted the Dialacoto gendarmerie brigade and the firefighters of the 61st company of Tambacounda. After the usual assessment, the lifeless body was taken to the morgue of the Tambacounda regional hospital.
An investigation is open.
