Tentative de suicide à Mbacké : Elle se tranche la gorge après le refus de divorce de son mari
A family tragedy occurred yesterday, Wednesday, around 9 p.m., in the Diamaguéne neighborhood of Mbacké. A 23-year-old woman attempted suicide by inflicting wounds on her throat after her husband refused the divorce she had been seeking for several months.
The Mbacké urban police station, under the command of Commissioner Alioune Fall, was urgently alerted to a suicide attempt in a home in the neighborhood.
Police officers immediately arrived at the scene, where they discovered the victim, N. Mangane, a young woman of about 23, married and childless, lying on the floor of her bedroom. The scene was particularly gruesome: deep wounds were found on her throat, and a bread knife lay beside her. Blood was smeared on both the floor and her clothing, according to Seneweb sources.
A marital conflict that escalates
According to statements gathered from his co-wife, who was present in the home at the time of the incident, the victim was experiencing a serious marital crisis with her husband, who was currently traveling in Cape Verde. Indeed, N. Mangane had been seeking a divorce for some time, a request that her husband had categorically refused.
It was this co-wife who raised the alarm. Around 9 p.m., worried about not having heard from the young woman since the afternoon, she contacted their husband by phone. He then asked her to break down the bedroom door.
That's how the neighbors made the gruesome discovery: N. Mangane was lying in a pool of blood, a victim of his own injuries. The police were immediately informed of the situation.
After the initial standard procedures carried out by law enforcement, the victim was urgently transported to Matlaboul Fawzaïni Hospital in Touba by firefighters. It should be noted that the young woman was conscious at the time of her transfer, which offers hope for a positive outcome despite the seriousness of her actions.
An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances of this suicide attempt.

ll est important que les filles tout comme les garcons aillent à l'école, diang au moins jusqu'à la majorité, qu'ils connaissent leur droits, devoirs, responsabilités, etc, qu'ils aient une certaine ouverture d'esprit et dans le monde
je n'encourage pas le divorce, mais mayma baat, mayoumala n'aurait jamais du conduire à celà car d'autres moyens de solutionner celà existent

Il est temps que vous vous réveillez avant qu’il ne soit trop tard. Dans la tête de beaucoup d’hommes sénégalais, la vie d’une fille et d’une femme ne vaut pas plus que celle d’une chèvre. Le simple fait que vous feignez l’ignorance nous démontre cela. Le respect de l’intégrité physique, psychique et morale des femmes est en fait non négociable.

A 23 ans, elle etait premiere ou seconde epouse? De plus elle n'a pas besoin de l'avis de son mari pour divorcer. Pas la peine de se suicider pour cela.
