Tentative de vol à la Cité Alioune Sow : piégées par la victime, deux jeunes femmes tombent
Two women, R. Diop (24 years old), a hairdresser by profession, and her accomplice F. Ndao (21 years old), were tried and convicted for an attempted robbery that occurred on the night of September 5 in Cité Alioune Sow.
According to the account of L'Observateur, which attended the hearing, the two women took a taxi to the targeted neighborhood. While her accomplice waited for her in the vehicle, the hairdresser entered the home of the victim, Ms. AA Diassé, alone through a door left ajar.
Bad luck for the alleged thief: the owner of the premises, "awakened by suspicious noises," had the reflex to lock her in before alerting the neighborhood and the police. "My house had already been broken into by burglars in the past. This time, I didn't want to take any risks," she testified.
Outside, "seeing that Rama wasn't coming back, [Ndao] asked the driver to call his friend. But at the other end of the line, another woman picked up."
The alleged accomplice did not have time to escape, since "a few minutes later, a group of youths appeared, surrounded the vehicle and forced [her] out [of the taxi]. The two were finally handed over to the police."
During the trial, the two defendants gave contradictory accounts. Ndao denied any involvement, claiming she was unaware of her friend's intentions, while Diop attempted to downplay the incident, referring alternately to a simple visit to the neighborhood and a "nighttime wandering" caused by a marital dispute.
Confronted with their confessions collected during the investigation, they failed to convince the court. Despite their attempts to clear their names, the prosecutor denounced "a clear attempt at theft" and recalled R. Diop's repeated offense. The court ultimately sentenced her to two years in prison, and her accomplice to two years in prison, including six months in prison.

C'EST bien de toujours punir un VOLEUR SEVEREMENT MAIS DETOURNER DES MILLIONS OU DES MILLIARDS EST DELOIN PIRE ET MERITE DES PEINES PLUS LOURDES PLUS SEVERES. C'est la principale CAUSE des NOMBREUSES MORTS DANS L' OCCEAN ET LE DESERT , LES MAUVAISES CONDICTIONS DES HOPITAUX ROUTES CHOMAGE ETC... CE JUGEMENT A ETE TRES RAPIDES ET ASSEZ SEVERE MAIS LES GRANDS BANDITS ONT DES PROCEDURES TRES TRES LENTES DES PEINES TRES LEGERES COMPAREES A LEURS CRIMES ET ONTDES DOCTEURS, AVOCATS , SOCIETES CIVILES TOUJOURS DISPONIBLES POUR ATESTER QU'ILS SONT SUBITEMENT TRES MALADES POUR RESTER EN PRISON.
