Thiès : un agresseur échappe de justesse au lynchage, son acolyte entre la vie et la mort
Thiès central police station brought S.Diagne, alias Abo, 18, a plasterer living in Diakhao, before the court on Wednesday. He is being prosecuted for attempted snatch theft using a wheeled vehicle and a bladed weapon, according to Seneweb sources.
The incident dates back to the night of Monday, October 13, 2025, at around 1 a.m., when the police station was alerted to a lynching in progress involving two attackers in the Grand Standing neighborhood. Two individuals, riding a motorcycle and armed with a knife, allegedly attempted to snatch a passerby's cell phone.
Arriving at the scene, the police officers from the search brigade managed to extract the suspects from the raging crowd before taking them to the police station.
Among them, Abo was taken into custody, while his accomplice, G. Goumbala, born in 2008 and a car mechanic, was evacuated to the emergency room of the Thiès regional hospital.
Seriously injured and covered in blood, the young man was admitted to intensive care.
The next day, Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the attending physician diagnosed him with internal bleeding that could lead to amnesia.
For better care, he was transferred to the neurosurgery department, where his condition continues to be closely monitored.

Par ailleurs, le blessé aurait pu être un simple accidenté de la voie publique. Il est inexplicable que l'on passe de nos jours, plusieurs heures, ( ici, jusqu'au lendemain) pour que le diagnostic d'hémorragie interne, une extrême urgence, soit posé. Voilà pourquoi on meurt facilement dans nos hôpitaux. Et ça peut arriver à tout le monde. De plus, je ne comprends pas la phrase, .." Le lendemain, mardi 14 octobre 2025, le médecin traitant a diagnostiqué chez lui une hémorragie interne susceptible d’entraîner une amnésie."... Que veut dire "susceptible d'entraîner une amnésie"?. Terrible! L'urgence est de sauver la vie. L'amnésie, on n'en sait rien . On verra après! Nous médecins, devons vraiment faire des efforts...
