THIÈS : Un dealer de chanvre indien piégé par la police
Farmer L. Sougou is being prosecuted for offering or supplying drugs. He was arrested in Tassette by police in possession of 4 kg of cannabis. His arrest followed the exploitation of information regarding cannabis trafficking in the area.
That's how the police contacted the suspect by phone to place an order for 4 kg of marijuana. L. Sougou fell into the trap and went to the designated location for drug delivery. He was caught in the act. Placed in pretrial detention, he is being tried this Friday.
In the dock of the Thiès court for flagrant offenses, L. Sougou categorically denied the accusations. He claimed that the drugs found on him belonged to a certain Samba who had fled upon seeing the police.
The prosecutor requested the application of the law, arguing that the cannabis belonged to a man named Samba. The defense pleaded for the defendant's acquittal based on reasonable doubt.
The case is adjourned for deliberation until December 5, 2025.
