Touba : incroyable mais vrai ! La vieille dame de 66 ans est dealeuse de yamba
Mr. Diongue claims to be a trader. This 66-year-old woman lives in Guédé, in Touba. She was taken into custody at the special police station in the Holy City. The reason? Trafficking in Indian hemp.
According to Libération, which reported the information in its Thursday edition, Mr. Diongue was cornered by the "Kurel sam wormay Touba," a unit of the Baye Fall community whose mission is to ensure orthodoxy in the religious city. One of the leaders of the entity, quoted by the newspaper, reported that after receiving information that the person in question was involved in drug trafficking, the "Kurel" put her under surveillance.
The initiative paid off, as the sixty-year-old was caught carrying half a block of Indian hemp in a bucket. A raid on her home resulted in the seizure of eight blocks of the same drug, or 4.7 kilos, according to Libération.
Mr. Diongue will be placed at the disposal of the Touba special police station. "When questioned, the woman stated, without giving further details, that it was a certain Ousseynou who allegedly gave her the drugs. She was taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation," the daily newspaper reported.
