Trafic de crack à Ngor : Deux dealers arrêtés par la BRS de Dakar
The Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), part of the Central Office for the Suppression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), has dealt a blow to crack cocaine trafficking in the capital. Two individuals were arrested in Ngor around 11 p.m. in possession of five stones of crack cocaine, a particularly dangerous drug that is wreaking havoc among young people.
A denunciation which triggers the intervention of the BRS
This successful operation resulted from a tip-off regarding a drug transaction that was to take place near the Ngor public garden. Alerted by this information, the BRS deployed a surveillance unit to the scene for verification. The police caught the two suspects comfortably seated in a gray Peugeot 208, in the middle of a crack cocaine transaction.
This arrest in flagrante delicto constitutes irrefutable proof of the trafficking activity carried out by the accused.
The drugs, money, cell phones and vehicle were seized for the purposes of the investigation.
Crack, a concentrated form of cocaine, causes almost immediate addiction and irreversible damage to the body.
The two accused were taken into custody and are being questioned in depth by specialist investigators.
The investigation is continuing to determine the extent of the network to which they belong and to identify their sources of supply.
