Trafic international de drogue : Deux individus arrêtés à Dakar, après la saisie de 180 kg de haschich au Maroc
The Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (OCRTIS) has arrested two people as part of a major operation to combat international drug trafficking. This operation follows the seizure of 180 kg of hashish by Moroccan authorities on September 10, 2025.
According to information gathered, the drugs were hidden in a refrigerated truck traveling from the Cherifian Kingdom to Senegal. The vehicle, intercepted by Moroccan security forces, was subjected to a scanner check, which revealed the illicit goods. Two men, a Senegalese and a Moroccan, were arrested on the spot.
Alerted to this seizure, the Dakar brigade was informed of the presence of two other suspects linked to this trafficking. The investigation revealed the existence of an organized network of traffickers using Senegalese territory as a transit zone to Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire. The arrested suspects admitted their involvement in this network.
During the operation in Senegal, investigators also seized 150,000 CFA francs and three mobile phones. The two suspects in custody will be questioned as part of the ongoing investigation to identify possible other branches of the network.
