Tribunal de Saint-Louis : Pour une altercation avec le secrétaire général de la Cour d’appel, un policier prend 3 ans ferme
El Hadj Babacar Sène, a trainee police officer, appeared before the Saint-Louis court for violence and assault against a magistrate, assault and battery resulting in a two-day temporary incapacity for work (ITT). Originally from Gandiaye and working at the Saint-Louis Court of Appeal, he had an altercation with the secretary general of the said court.
Returning to the facts, the defendant explained that everything started with a table that a local security officer (ASP) wanted to move. When questioned, the ASP allegedly indicated that the piece of furniture belonged to the secretary general, which the latter confirmed, specifying that he had asked the ASP to bring it to him.
However, El Hadj Babacar Sène, in an effort to do his job properly, demanded that the magistrate present his professional card. According to him, the latter did not comply with his request. A heated exchange ensued, during which the police officer allegedly punched the magistrate, causing him to be unable to work for two days. In court, the defendant denied hitting the magistrate.
But several witnesses, including the ASP, claimed the opposite. According to them, the magistrate had indeed given his identity when presenting his cards.
Despite the defense's plea for leniency, emphasizing its client's lack of experience and the fact that the civil party had withdrawn its complaint, the court sentenced the police officer to a heavy three-year prison sentence. A decision that surprised many, some deeming it excessive.

La police doit revoir sa formation
Le sénégalais est toujours du coté de lui qu'il pense être le plus faible, même si le faible peut avoir tort
Les policiers doivent avoir un syndicat qui les défend et le statut des fonctionnaires de police ils doivent avoir une protection judictionnelle
Lorsqu'ils commettent des infractions dans l'exercice de leur fonction... ne serait-ce qu'un privilège de juriction
le policier stagiaire va se radicaliser en prison,et à sa sortie ,il cherchera à faire payer ses déboires au magistrat .
Il ait des cas d iniquité ou la condamnation n a aucun effet dissuasif : vous vous rendez justice vous meme avant de retourner en prison ou vous suicider , et l affaire est classée en attendant l au-delà
Ils Ont leurs propres courtiers pour soutirer de l argent
