Tribunal de Thiès : O. Guèye jugé pour le vol quatre sceaux de peinture
O. Guèye is being tried this Friday, December 19, by the Thiès court of flagrant offenses for stealing four buckets of paint belonging to the shopkeeper M. Mbaye.
On the day of the incident, the accused had come to buy paint. After ordering four buckets, he asked Mr. Mbaye to put him in touch with his cart driver so that they could go together to his house to pay the bill in cash, as he could not pay electronically due to a lack of internet connection.
After unloading the buckets of paint, he told the carter to wait while he went into his house to collect the money.
After a long wait, the cart driver returned to report to the shopkeeper Mr. Mbaye, who filed a complaint with the police.
Appearing before the Thiès court for flagrant offenses, he denied the accusations. He stated that he had not fled. But the public prosecutor requested that the law be applied.
The verdict is expected soon.
