Tromperie et prostitution forcée : l’horreur d’une mineure au cœur d’un procès à Mbour

The Mbour High Court has heard a human trafficking case involving Fatoumata Boundou, 29, and Khadidiatou Konté. The two defendants are being prosecuted for exploiting a minor, A. Camara, into prostitution.

Fatoumata Boundou allegedly deceived the victim by promising her a job offer. After taking her to Guinea, she allegedly provided her with false identity documents before transporting her to Senegal, where she entrusted her to Khadidiatou Konté.

The two women then allegedly forced Camara into prostitution, demanding that she regularly pay two million CFA francs to a Nigerian national nicknamed "Diamond." On June 25, 2025, the victim, a minor, reported her ordeal to the Saly police station. She recounted how the accused had manipulated, exploited, and forced her into prostitution.

During the hearing, Fatoumata Boundou and Khadidiatou Konté denied the charges, claiming not to know each other. One pretended not to understand French, the other claimed not to speak English. However, the testimonies and material evidence presented convinced the prosecution and the court. The prosecutor requested a 10-year prison sentence for both women, finding them guilty of human trafficking.

The decision is expected this Tuesday.
