UCAD-UGB : Le FRAPP dénonce la présence policière sur les campus et réclame le paiement des bourses
The Front for a Popular and Pan-African Anti-Imperialist Revolution (FRAPP) "expressed its strong indignation" at the current situation on the university campuses of Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD) and Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis (UGB).
In a statement released and signed by its National Executive Secretariat on Wednesday, December 3, the pan-African movement criticized the authorization given to police forces to enter the premises of UCAD, considering that this decision constitutes an attack on university autonomy and academic freedoms.
The movement recalls the tragic history of police presence on campuses, which led to the deaths of several students, including Salomon Khoury, Balla Gaye, Bassirou Faye and Fallou Tine.
FRAPP also denounces the continued non-payment of Master's student grants, which it considers a sign of contempt on the part of the State. The movement believes that the authorities' delaying tactics are aimed at discouraging students in their legitimate struggle.
Faced with this situation, he demands the immediate and definitive withdrawal of all police and gendarmerie forces from university campuses, and the full and uninterrupted payment of Master's student scholarships and the clearing of all arrears.

Les postes politiques des 130 DG, 150 directeurs et 700 chargés de mission inutiles ne sont pas plus méritants que les étudiants.
