Yeumbeul-Comico : Un électricien surpris par la police en train de conditionner du "yamba"
Based on an anonymous tip about an intense Indian hemp trafficking network, the elements of the research brigade of the Yeumbeul-Comico district police station, under the command of Commissioner Ousmane Diop, set up surveillance and tailing around the home of a suspect.
Investigators caught ID, 24, an electrician residing in Boune Fourneau Jambar, red-handed packaging marijuana in his bedroom. He was in possession of a bag containing 500 grams of loose "yamba" and 25 packets of the same drug. A search of his home uncovered three more blocks of marijuana hidden near the garbage cans on the terrace, bringing the total seized to nearly 2 kg.
Taken to the police station where he was questioned, ID admitted to being the owner of the drugs which he said he acquired in Bignona, where he is identified as the main organizer of this illicit trade.
He was taken into custody and the case was brought to the attention of prosecutor Saliou Dicko. The investigation is ongoing.
