Yeumbeul : Une chargée de clientèle violée et dépouillée par deux agresseurs. Un a été arrêté
The Yeumbeul-Comico district police station, under the command of Commissioner Ousmane Diop, brought two individuals before the court on Friday, January 2, 2026, for their involvement in a series of violent assaults, including a gang rape. The main suspect, D. Kandé, 22, and his alleged accomplice, DD, 29, will be held accountable for their actions.
Their arrest followed an attack with a bladed weapon on the night of December 29-30, 2025, between stop 58 and Yawou Dial.
First victim: the ABS shopkeeper
On December 29, 2025, at around 6 a.m., ABS, a shopkeeper residing in Yeumbeul, was on her way to work when she was attacked by D. Kandé. Threatening her with a knife, he snatched her bag containing three iPhones and Samsung phones, inflicting a minor hand injury.
Alerted by the victim's cries for help, a police officer intervened. He drew his service weapon and managed to subdue the assailant with warning shots. D. Kandé was taken to the police station. A body search revealed four cell phones (an iPhone, a Samsung, and a Techno), three of which belonged to Ms. ABS, as well as a knife.
Second victim: Ms. AT
As for the fourth Tecno phone, the investigation led to its owner, a woman whose initials were AT. She stated that she had been attacked that same night around 5 a.m. at the Yawou Dial bus stop. She emphasized that D. Kandé was armed with a knife.
Third victim: Aminata D.
Aminata D., an account manager residing in the Comico housing complex, who was the victim of an assault and gang rape on November 29, 2025, provided a description of her attackers. Invited to the police station for questioning, she identified D. Kandé as one of the perpetrators of her attack.
According to her initial statements, on November 29, 2025, around 5 a.m., near the transmission camp, she was attacked by two individuals armed with a knife and pepper spray. They robbed her of her iPhone 14 before dragging her into a building under construction where they took turns raping her.
D. Kandé's confession
When questioned, D. Kandé initially admitted to the assaults committed on the first two victims, while denying the rape of Aminata D. But faced with a thorough interrogation and confronted with the evidence found on his mobile phone, including a screenshot of the victim's phone probably sent to a fence, he confessed.
He confessed to being the perpetrator of the assault and rape of Aminata D. He specified that he was accompanied that day by a certain Oumar.
D. Kanté led investigators to DD, a farmer to whom he claims to have sold the stolen phone for 60,000 CFA francs.
But DD, 29, denied the charges of receiving stolen goods. He stated that D. Kandé had only sent him a photo of the stolen phone via WhatsApp, but had never sold it to him. During the search, eight other cell phones were discovered at his home and taken to the police station for the purposes of the investigation.
At the conclusion of the investigation, D. Kandé was charged with conspiracy, armed robbery committed at night, and gang rape. DD is being prosecuted for receiving stolen goods (phones).
The suspects were taken into custody and then brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court on Friday, January 2, 2026.
The search continues for the accomplice identified as Oumar.

Au Sénégal pour le moment ce n'est pas le cas. Mais avec des comités de vigilance et de surveillance organisés avec des jeunes des quartiers qui peuvent être intéressés par une cotisation des riverains, il faut traquer ces voyous jusque dans leurs cahes et si pris la main dans le sac les lyncher jusqu'à ce qu'ils ne recommencent pas.
Ce n'est pas de l'appel à la violence mais plutôt de l'appel à l'auto protection et à la riposte face à cette vague de violence qui, si rien n'est fait va transformer ce pays en une zone de non droit où la Loi du plus fort est érigée en régle!
