Yoff : Trois dealers arrêtés avec du chanvre indien par la BRS de Dakar
The Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), under the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking, arrested three individuals in Yoff on February 9, 2026, at approximately 11:00 PM. They were found in possession of four packets of Indian hemp.
The suspects have been identified as follows: MN, 52 years old, painter, residing in Yoff, BD, 46 years old, street vendor, residing in Yoff and SD, 27 years old, mason, residing in Yoff.
These arrests follow the investigation of a series of reports indicating the existence of a large-scale cannabis trafficking network in the Yoff area. Based on this information, a surveillance operation was deployed by law enforcement.
After several hours of surveillance, the team apprehended an individual leaving the home of a suspected drug dealer. This individual, identified as SD, was visibly intoxicated and provided investigators with the dealer's address. A raid on the residence resulted in the arrest of two other individuals caught in the act of smoking marijuana. Four packets of cannabis were found in their possession.
In addition to the drugs, law enforcement seized three mobile phones and 5,000 CFA francs. All of these items were placed under seal for the purposes of the investigation.
The three suspects were taken into custody for possession of cannabis for personal use and trafficking. They were informed of their right to be assisted by legal counsel of their choice.
