Ziguinchor : 2 dealers de drogue arrêtés en flagrant délit par les policiers de Yamatogne
An anti-drug operation carried out on September 4 at around 8 p.m. by the Research Brigade of the Yamatogne Police Station in Ziguinchor resulted in the arrest of two suspects red-handed packaging Indian hemp.
A raid on anonymous information
Following an anonymous tip-off about Indian hemp trafficking in the Belfort district, the police carried out a targeted raid on a home in the area.
Two suspects caught in the act
The police discovered two individuals in a room, packaging Indian hemp:
- MS Badiane, 23 years old
- Mr. Sock, 23 years old, driver from Jakarta, living in Boucotte
A thorough search of the premises revealed the following in a bag containing clothes:
- 30 Indian hemp cones
- 2 flaps of the same substance
Seized material:
- A pair of scissors
- A knife
- Rizla paper
- A box of matches
- 3 cell phones
Confessions of the suspects
When questioned about the origin of the product, the accused stated that they had acquired the drug in Agnam for 20,000 CFA francs, according to Seneweb sources.
The two suspects were taken into custody for supplying and transferring narcotics. All seized prohibited substances and items were confiscated for the purposes of the investigation.
This operation illustrates the effectiveness of cooperation between citizens and police in the fight against drug trafficking in the Ziguinchor region.
