Ziguinchor : Le corps d’un enfant emporté par les eaux de pluie retrouvé à Djibock
The body of a young boy aged at least 6 was recovered this morning from the canal in the Djibock district, on the outskirts of Ziguinchor. The child's lifeless body was recovered by members of the 41st Company of the Fire Brigade in the presence of police officers. According to information received, the child has not been found since yesterday and was being sought by his parents after the heavy rain that fell almost all day. The child was unfortunately swept away by the heavy rainwater.
Yesterday, Friday, Ziguinchor recorded its highest rainfall rate since the beginning of the season. 103.2 mm of rain fell at 7 p.m., according to the regional weather service.
