The Achraf Hakimi case has reached a decisive stage with its referral to the Hautes-Seine departmental criminal court. Appearing on BFMTV this Wednesday, Rachel-Flore Pardo, the lawyer for the young woman who accuses the PSG defender of rape, firmly defended her client's integrity and denounced the defense's methods.
The investigating judge officially followed the Nanterre prosecutor's request, ordering the indictment of the Moroccan international for events dating back to February 2023. For Ms. Pardo, this decision is a relief after three years of proceedings that she describes as painful and difficult to bear, particularly in the face of such a powerful man.
The plaintiff's lawyer denounced the strategy of Hakimi's lawyers, who are attempting to portray her client as a mercenary seeking to extort money from the player. She insisted that there was no evidence of blackmail or extortion in the case, stating that there was little to be gained by taking legal action for rape in order to obtain money. Ms. Pardo also sought to set the record straight regarding her client's cooperation with the authorities, asserting that the young woman fully cooperated with the investigation from the moment she arrived at the police station, contrary to the opposing party's allegations.
According to the lawyer, the indictment is not based solely on testimony, but on a case bolstered by concrete evidence. She cites, in particular, explicit messages sent by the complainant to a friend immediately after the incident, saying, "Please, hurry, he raped me." Ms. Pardo also highlights inconsistencies in Achraf Hakimi's account and asserts that Kylian Mbappé's statements contradict those of his teammate and friend. Finally, she relies on a timeline of events deemed irrefutable by investigators. While the trial date remains to be set, the complainant's determination appears unwavering, as she is resolved to pursue justice to the end.
