Barrages Coupe du monde 2026 : des accusations de sorcellerie s’invitent dans le match RD Congo / Nigeria
The curtains have fallen on the African zone playoffs for the 2026 World Cup. DR Congo secured the sole ticket to the intercontinental playoffs by eliminating Nigeria on penalties (1-1, 4-3 on penalties). A bitter defeat that has gone down badly for the Malian coach of the Super Eagles, Éric Sékou Chelle, who accused the Congolese of using witchcraft.
Asked about the reasons for his altercation with a member of the Congolese staff just after the decisive penalty converted by Chancel Mbemba, the 48-year-old coach explained to the ESPN journalist that he suspected his opponent of having practiced voodoo throughout the session.
"Throughout the penalty shootout, the guy from DR Congo was doing voodoo. Every time, every time, every time," said Éric Sékou Chelle, visibly affected by the elimination.

Mauvais perdant, cher Eric! Si le vaudou avait un tel pouvoir, pourquoi ton pays d'origine le Mali ne l'utilise pas face aux terroristes? Ou ce dernier ne marcherait que dans le foot? mdrr
La RDC a été la meilleure équipe des 4 sélections engagées dans ces barrages, tant par ses résultats que par son organisation tactique! La RDC est la sélection qui a le plus progressé en Afrique au classement FIFA depuis la dernière CAN (où elle a été éliminée invaincue sur le terrain). Par exemple, en 10 matches, en 2025, elle a enregistré 8 victoires, 1 nul (contre Nigéria hier, car remporté au tirs au but) et 1 seule défaite (de justesse contre le Sénégal à cause de son gardien de ce jour-là, depuis lors plus aligné). Le Sénégal doit faire très attention à la RDC le 27 décembre prochain!

Arrêtez ces conneries. Si cela existait, l'Afrique prendrait la coupe du monde.
