Bayern Munich : L'obligation d'achat de Nicolas Jackson annulée
At the very end of the summer transfer window, Bayern Munich managed to secure the loan of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea. This loan was supposed to become an obligation to buy, subject to certain conditions. Ultimately, these conditions will not be met.
Indeed, Chelsea had agreed with Bayern Munich on the mandatory payment of 65 million CFA francs if the Senegalese international played 40 matches in the Bundesliga and Champions League, with more than 45 minutes of play per match.
To date, Nicolas Jackson has only made six starts. He will now need 33 matches with more than 45 minutes of playing time to reach the objective set by Bayern Munich when he joined on loan. As Abendzeitung points out, it is now impossible for the Senegalese striker to reach such a total. If Bayern reaches the Champions League final, the German club will still have 34 matches to play. With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations approaching, in which the Senegalese player will participate, it is now considered impossible for Jackson to start all of these matches.
For his contract to be extended in Bavaria, the leaders of Chelsea and Bayern Munich will have to sit down at the table to negotiate.
