Brésil : la fédération de football recrute le fils de Carlo Ancelotti
The Brazilian Football Confederation has made its decision: Davide Ancelotti will join the Seleção's coaching staff. The Italian manager will thus be reunited with his father, Carlo Ancelotti, the current manager of Brazil.
Davide Ancelotti, Carlo Ancelotti's loyal assistant at Real Madrid, had recently decided to strike out on his own. He accepted his first head coaching position at Botafogo, with the ambition of establishing himself as the number one. This experience was ultimately cut short: after just five months, his adventure with the Rio de Janeiro club ended last December.
Without a club since then, Davide Ancelotti hasn't remained out of work for long. According to Globo, the Brazilian Football Confederation has signed him to bolster the coaching staff for the upcoming friendly matches in March. He will thus assist his father on the bench, notably for the highly anticipated match against France.
This return to the Seleção allows Davide Ancelotti to bounce back quickly after an initial setback as head coach, while continuing his learning at the highest level alongside one of the most decorated coaches in world football.
