Bundesliga : un international Belge lance un appel à l’aide pour son…chat
Michy Batshuayi sent a heartfelt plea to his Instagram followers. The 32-year-old Belgian international, now a player for Eintracht Frankfurt, appealed for help to save his cat, which was seriously injured after being hit by a car.
His faithful companion, in fact, needs an urgent blood transfusion, requiring the donation of blood from another healthy cat.
"It would simply be a small blood sample, completely safe for the donor cat and gently taken by a professional veterinarian," explained the former Olympique de Marseille striker, speaking in English and German.
He said: "I know this is an unusual request, but it's his only chance of survival. If you are in Frankfurt or the surrounding area and have a healthy cat, your help could literally save a life. The operation is scheduled very soon, every minute counts."
Michy Batshuayi's appeal quickly moved his fans and animal lovers, who all hope for a happy outcome for the player and his four-legged companion.
