CAN 2025 : coup dur pour le Maroc malgré le retour de Hakimi dans le onze de départ
Good news and bad news for Morocco just hours before their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 match against Tanzania. The Atlas Lions will be able to count on the return of Achraf Hakimi to the starting lineup, but will have to do without Azzedine Ounahi.
Having come on as a substitute in the previous match, Hakimi will return to his starting position and the captain's armband this Sunday at 4pm, for this decisive match.
However, the host country has suffered a major blow in this knockout stage. Azzedine Ounahi, seen on crutches, is ruled out of the round of 16 match. While the exact nature of his injury and the duration of his absence have not yet been announced, his absence represents a significant loss for the Moroccan midfield.
Despite this setback, Morocco hopes to rely on Hakimi's experience and leadership to continue its journey in the competition.
