CAN U17 Maroc : l’Algérie assure, le Mali patauge
The second day of the U17 AFCON took place this Sunday. After Senegal's victory against Ghana (1-0), the other match in Group D saw Algeria dominate South Africa (2-0).
Yacine Abed was the architect of Algeria's victory, scoring twice (41st and 85th minutes). Thanks to this win, Algeria (4 points) sits atop the group ahead of Senegal (2nd, 3 points), whom the Fennecs will face in the third and final matchday.
In Group C, Mali, the tournament favorites, continue to struggle. The Young Eagles, who drew their opening match against Angola (0-0), were held to another draw by Mozambique (1-1).
On the final day, the young Malians will have to show a completely different side if they hope to secure qualification for the quarter-finals.
