CHAN-2024 : L’Ouganda et l’Algérie en quarts de finale
Like Tanzania and Kenya, CHAN co-hosts Uganda have qualified for the quarter-finals. The Cranes booked their place against South Africa after a tough battle in Group C.
Indeed, after opening the score (1-0), Uganda found itself trailing (3-1). But in the last two minutes, the Ugandans were awarded two penalties which they converted. This allowed them to equalize and secure a deserved qualification (3-3).
In the other group match, Algeria (2nd, 6 pts) secured their place in the quarter-finals with a 0-0 draw against Niger.
