Coupe du monde 2026 : Le Sénégal qualifié, Guèye et Niakhaté réagissent aux barrages explosifs en vue pour d’autres cadors africains, « ça va être la guerre »
Senegal secured their place in the 2026 World Cup by thrashing Mauritania 4-0, thanks in part to a superb free kick from Sadio Mané. Côte d'Ivoire also qualified directly after their 3-0 victory over Kenya.
These two successes send other African heavyweights into the play-offs: Cameroon, Nigeria, DR Congo and Gabon will have to face each other next March to hope to continue the adventure, before an intercontinental play-off phase.
On social media, Senegalese Pape Guèye and Moussa Niakhaté reacted quickly in a video that went viral. Joking about the explosive confrontations ahead, they said: "The fight! Congo, Cameroon, Nigeria... it's going to be war! Who will have the best African food?"
Good-natured words that above all reflect the Lions' relief at having avoided the complicated path to the World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Quelle guerre ? Il n'y a de guerre ! Le meilleur coach va prendre le sacré point.
