Coupe du monde U20 : Nigéria et Afrique du Sud ratent leur entrée en matière
Following Morocco's 2-0 victory over Spain, the other African representatives played their first matches in the Under-20 World Cup this Monday. A failed start.
South Africa, playing France in Group E, lost 2-1. Bafana Bafana, who had managed to equalize from a penalty in the first half thanks to Jody Ah Shene (31st minute), finally gave in in the 80th minute to a decisive goal from Lucas Michal.
For its part, Nigeria also missed its debut in Group F by losing to Norway (1-0).
With these opening defeats, South Africa and Nigeria will have to react in their second match if they want to hope to qualify for the quarter-finals.
