De Saint-Louis à la Saudi Pro League : L’Ascension d’Amadou Bamba Dieng «Benzegoal»
The young Senegalese striker Amadou Bamba Dieng, nicknamed "Benzegoal," continues his rise in professional football. Aged 20 and standing 1.88 m tall, the Senegalese-trained striker joined Saudi club Al-Hazem, a member of the Saudi Pro League, earlier this month for the 2025-2026 season.
Hailing from Saint-Louis, the young striker showed great promise early on. In 2023, at just 17 years old, he finished as the top scorer in the Saint-Louis regional championship with 12 goals in only eight matches. These performances led to him being spotted by the Espoirs de Guédiawaye academy, which he joined the same year.
His talent quickly attracted attention abroad. After only six months in Guédiawaye, he signed his first professional contract with Ituano FC, playing in the Brazilian second division. This first experience in Brazil marked the beginning of his rise on the international stage.
In 2024, he joined CFC Tietê, where he confirmed his full potential. During the 2025 season, he finished as the top scorer in the State League U20 with a remarkable record of 10 goals and 4 assists in 13 matches.
These performances quickly attracted the interest of several clubs, notably in Saudi Arabia, where Al-Hazem decided to invest in the young Senegalese striker. Considered one of the most promising talents of his generation, Amadou Bamba Dieng could well be one to watch closely in the coming years.
