Détection et recrutement de jeunes talents : Un club de Ligue 1 française jette son dévolu sur le Sénégal
Stade Brestois, a French Ligue 1 club, is strengthening its commitment to training and developing young African footballers. The Breton club has chosen the Amor FC academy, based in Diamniadio, marking a new step in its talent identification and recruitment strategy.
For Denis Le Saint, president of Stade Brestois, this partnership with Senegal responds to a structural need of the club to strengthen training while relying on a recognized pool of talent.
“We had a problem at the club level: it was the training aspect. Senegal has emerged as one of the suppliers of talent in modern football. The Senegalese have many qualities, and if we could create a bridge, we would have a great story to tell. Everything must be based on trust,” he explains.
The Brest president emphasizes that this project is part of both an immediate and long-term vision. "Football moves fast. You have to learn quickly. There's also the long term, with great things to achieve. Senegal has a lot to offer France, with a dynamic youth and values shared by the entire population," he affirms.
On the Senegalese side, Harouna Diarra, president of the Amor FC academy, welcomes this collaboration, which he describes as a primarily human and educational project. "Together, we are taking a significant step, a project that goes beyond the simple realm of sport. It's an initiative with a promising future for Senegalese youth. Thanks to Brest, we are offering young footballers a sporting, educational, and personal development program that will allow them to become not only great players but great men. The players are all enrolled in school," he says.
Building on the quality and rigor of Senegalese training, Stade Brestois hopes to build a lasting and fruitful relationship, a symbol of a more united and connected football.
