Eliminatoires Mondial-2026 : Alban Lafont et Amad Diallo sur la liste d’Emerse Faé
Ivory Coast national team coach Emerse Fae has released the list of players called up for the Elephants' upcoming matches against Burundi (September 5) and Gabon (September 9), counting for the 7th and 8th days of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The surprise for the Ivorian technician is undoubtedly the call-up of the 26-year-old goalkeeper, Alban Lafont (Panathinaikos) alongside Yahia Fofana (Angers) and Mohamed Koné (Charleroi).
Born in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, and trained in Toulouse, Lafont played with the French Espoirs team and attracted the interest of the Etalons staff.
Executives Franck Kessié, Sébastien Haller and Nicolas Pépé as well as young Manchester United player Amad Diallo are also on Fae's list.

La Côte d'Ivoire a vraiment des matchs faciles, quand on compare avec ceux que le Sénégal doit jouer ! God's Great!
