Fédé de lutte : Bira Sène installé
A chapter spanning more than 30 years has come to a close. Created in 1994, the National Wrestling Management Committee (CNG) is no more. From now on, the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL) will oversee the sport. The handover ceremony between Malick Ngom and the new FSL president, Ibrahima Sène, known as "Bira," took place this Thursday at the National Arena in Pikine.
As reported by L'Observateur, Malick Ngom, who will go down in history as the last president of the CNG after a 15-month transition, handed over the reins to his successor in a cordial atmosphere. "Bira Sène is like a big brother to me," he declared, calling on all stakeholders to support the new leader in the success of his mission.
For his part, Bira Sène paid tribute to the work accomplished by the outgoing team, stating that his victory belongs to the entire wrestling family. The new head of the arena promised "diligent but firm" governance for the next four years.
