FIFA : Abdoulaye Sow nommé membre de la commission de développement
Abdoulaye Saydou Sow has been appointed a member of the FIFA Development Committee. This is a significant international promotion for the former second vice-president of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF).
FIFA has formalized the appointment of the Senegalese leader as one of the 19 members of this strategic committee, chaired by Egyptian Hany Abo Rida. This committee plays a key role in defining and implementing policies for the development of world football.
This new role comes as Abdoulaye Sow has gradually faded from the national football scene. He resigned as president of the Amateur Football League (LFA) and the Kaffrine Regional League.
His attempt to bounce back at the head of the Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) ended in defeat against Babacar Ndiaye, now 1st vice-president of the FSF.
Despite this setback, Abdoulaye Sow remains an influential figure in Senegalese football. He notably played a decisive role in the election of Abdoulaye Fall as president of the FSF, demonstrating his influence behind the scenes of sporting power.
