The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) officially turned a new page this Thursday with the installation of Abdoulaye Fall as head of the national body. The ceremony, presided over by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Khady Diène Gaye, was held in the presence of sports leaders and institutional representatives.

Alongside the new president, the members of the Executive Committee (COMEX) also took office. These include Babacar Ndiaye (1st Vice-President), Elimane Lam (5th Vice-President), Mamadou Fall (Pikine), Saliou Cissokho (Kédougou), Aziz Seck (Kaffrine), Me Pape Sidy Lo (Thiès), Amadou Kane, Moussa Mbaye (Stade de Mbour), Malang Diédhou (CCA), Mayacine Mar (DTN), Mouhamed Samb (Louga), Dr Babacar Ngom and Bakary Cissé (Ziguinchor).

In his speech, Abdoulaye Fall expressed his gratitude to all the clubs, coaches, and sports movements that placed their trust in him. With 85% of the districts and 11 of the 14 regional leagues won, his AF2025 coalition largely dominated the elections.

The new president reiterated that his mandate will be structured around the PRAXIS project, which is divided into five major areas and inspired by the philosophy of "control-pass." The objective is to lay the foundations for the structural and sustainable development of Senegalese football. "Our commitment is total: to work tirelessly for a football that unites us and makes us proud," he declared.

Abdoulaye Fall also called for increased support for Senegalese clubs involved in African competitions, to enable them to reach decisive levels and attract more financial resources.

On behalf of CNOSS President Mamadou Diagna Ndiaye, Ibrahima Wade welcomed the installation of the new federal team, which he described as "an act of confidence and hope for the future of Senegalese football."

In a context marked by the remarkable performances of the Lions (24 consecutive matches without defeat, the best current unbeaten streak), the CNOSS calls on the FSF to continue the dynamic of good governance and innovation.

"Abdoulaye Fall, your mission begins with a dual requirement: to preserve our heritage and build the future. Together, let's make football a space for performance and national cohesion," said Mr. Wade.

With the departure of Me Augustin Senghor, who marked the recent history of the FSF, Abdoulaye Fall inherits a solid federation, but one expected to face new challenges: increased professionalization, continental influence and reinforced support for local football.

His mandate therefore begins under the sign of strong expectations, but also of institutional and popular support which gives him historic legitimacy.

On verra si tu peux mieux faire.
