FSF : un Comex électrique, récit d'un déballage
The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Senegalese Football Federation (Comex), held this Monday from 10:10 am to 6:15 pm, was explosive. For more than eight hours, the facade of unity shattered under the weight of harsh accusations, insults, and threats of legal action, reports L'Observateur.
According to the same source, the atmosphere turned sour during an unusually heated exchange when Amadou Kane (president of ONCAV) launched a direct attack on Abdoulaye Sow (Secretary General of the FSF): "You lied to get where you are, in the position of Secretary General." The Secretary General's response was immediate and scathing, calling his adversary a "liar." Tensions escalated further with the intervention of Yaya Baldé (Kolda League), whose physical threats nearly turned the meeting room into a boxing ring, illustrating what sources at the Groupe Futurs Médias (GFM) newspaper described as a "real petty squabble."
"Manure"
The FSF spokesperson, Bacary Cissé, also leveled harsh criticism at the institution's operations, stating that "the federation is upside down" and that it's time to "set it straight." The verbal escalation reached its peak when he publicly called Pape Sidy Lô "scum," accusing him of spreading malicious gossip to the FSF president. The president, quoted by the newspaper, has already indicated his intention to sue Bacary Cissé for "defamation."
Concerns about the Senegal-Peru match
Bacary Cissé, quoted by Gfm, also expressed his concerns about the match against Peru, criticizing "the lack of communication surrounding this game and the €500,000 (approximately 328 million CFA francs) cost of renting the Stade de France." He believes "this poses a huge problem." The journalist considers "paying €500 (nearly 328,000 CFA francs) to attend and take photos with the trophy excessive."
Finances have further fueled tensions, adds L'Obs. Modou Fall (AS Pikine) has once again raised the issue of compensation received during the Africa Cup of Nations, sparking a heated exchange with Babacar Ndiaye (Ligue Pro). At the same time, the owner of Teungueth FC denounced a "policy of isolation" within the Executive Committee, revealing that he had been excluded from strategic decision-making circles despite his position as committee chairman.
