Indeed, after Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba announced in a video this Tuesday that he would end his career at the end of the current season.
"Hello everyone. The time has come to close an important stage of my life. I have made the decision to end my professional football career at the end of this season. I do so with absolute conviction, fulfillment, and happiness," he can be heard saying in the recording.

The 36-year-old left-back is convinced that it is time for him to "start a new chapter and close the previous one with the best of feelings." "Football has given me absolutely everything," he added.
The Hospitalet de Llobregat native then thanked the clubs that "shaped (his) life," including FC Barcelona. "It's the club of my life," he said. "The one that saw me grow up and allowed me to reach the peak of my career, to live more than an unforgettable decade and to win every possible title."
