JOJ Dakar-2026 : A Ziguinchor, le COJOJ et l’ONCAV engagent le combat de la mobilisation de la jeunesse dans l’organisation des Jeux
The 2026 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) will take place in Dakar, Senegal. Authorities, including the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee (YOGOC), are expecting a strong youth turnout.
To this end, the COJOJ intends to involve the National Coordination Body for Holiday Activities (ONCAV) in the event, through a memorandum of understanding initialed in Ziguinchor, on the occasion of the 2nd round of the national phases of the ONCAV Casamance-2025.

According to Ibrahima Wade, coordinator of the COYOG, "the Navétane movement, with its capacity for mobilization, its driving force, its territorial network, its involvement among young people, is naturally a partner ready to support us in the mobilization (...), but also in the organization."

These YOG-2026, which will be held after the national phases of the ONCAV of the same year, placed under the sign of the YOG, must be experienced throughout the territory, prayed the coordinator of the COYOG, hence the interest in involving the Navetane movement.

For his part, Amadou Kane, the president of ONCAV, indicated that his organization will work hard to ensure the success of these games. "ONCAV will spare no effort to ensure that the participation of all Senegalese is felt by the IOC, the YOGOC, and the Senegalese government. From this signing, the start is given," he said.

Opportunity making the thief, Amadou Kane reiterated his call for non-violence in all sporting disciplines.
