Le coach du PSG encense Ibrahim Mbaye, mais tempère : «Rien ne va changer»
Asked at a press conference this Friday about Ibrahim Mbaye's progress after his recent match with the Lions of Senegal, Luis Enrique made no attempt to hide his enthusiasm. The PSG coach praised the young player's quality while reiterating that he would receive no preferential treatment, despite his impressive goal.
"I can't be more demanding of him than before. He's a quality player and we're very happy to have players of his quality," he explained, emphasizing the consistency of his approach.
For Luis Enrique, Mbaye's superb left-footed goal for the Senegalese national team doesn't change the internal hierarchy or the expectations of the Paris Saint-Germain staff. "There's no change in his status. I'm going to ask the same things of him as I did before his match with Senegal. (...) I'm happy for him, but nothing will change. The demands remain at their highest," he maintains.
With these words, the Spanish coach aims both to highlight Ibrahim Mbaye's growing influence and to maintain the necessary discipline for the long-term integration of young talents into a top-level squad. "He's a very young player, and we have a lot of confidence in his future," he concludes.
