Les Lions du Basket décrochent la 3ᵉ place à l’Afrobasket 2025 : le Président Faye salue "une équipe jeune et talentueuse"
The Senegalese men's national basketball team ended Afrobasket 2025 on a positive note by winning the bronze medal. This performance confirms the potential and rise of a young and ambitious group.
Following the competition, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, via X (formerly Twitter), wished to extend his congratulations to the Lions. In a message filled with pride and encouragement, he praised "a young and talented team, whose commitment and collective spirit command respect."
The Head of State also expressed his conviction that this generation has the means to write new pages in the history of Senegalese sport, if it continues on the path of discipline, work and unity.
"By continuing on this path, you have the capacity to write great pages in the history of Senegalese sport," wrote the Head of State.

Il falait les encourager depuis les 1/2 finale pour les motivés... la ou macky faisait carement la difference lui il vivait le sport
Bravo aux lions. Ce nest pas de votre faute. Mais cette coupe nous appartenait. Seulement, au sommeil de letat, les massages de soit disants "saints" par des guenons AVCisees nous ont porte la poisse.

C'est bien. Mais on ne gagne plus comme il ya 3ans ,2 ans ci guinaaw. Boroom barké, wala ki niou ko denkoon, dem na ak moom. On d(e)-évolue de partout, quoi.
De 2013 à 2021 on a echoué en demi finale de d'afrobasket chez les hommes, on a pas gagné depuis 1997 chez les hommes & 2015 chez les filles. C'esta avec des reflexions aussi stupides qu'on ne fait pas les bons constats pour en tirer des leçons
Saa waay, yemou ma ci basket. Il faut elargir aux autres sports., et elargir sa khel, bagne ko gaattal, ak khol bi sakh. Khalaat bi moom, ce serait trop demander, donc je m'abstiens.
