Ligue 1 - 4e journée : L’US Gorée nouveau leader, Guédiawaye s’enfonce
The fourth round of Ligue 1 matches took place this weekend. With a 2-0 victory away to Linguère in Saint-Louis, US Gorée took over the top spot in the standings. The islanders, now with 10 points, dethroned Casa Sports (2nd, 8 points), who were held to a 1-1 draw by AJEL of Rufisque.
On the road in Thiès, reigning champions Jaraaf earned a valuable point by holding Wallydaan to a 1-1 draw. In the heated Lebou derby, US Ouakam (8th, 5 pts) and their neighbors ASC Camberène (12th, 3 pts) played to a 1-1 draw.
After a 4-0 defeat to US Gorée in the previous match, Dakar Sacré-Cœur bounced back with a 1-0 victory away to ASC HLM. At the Stade Lat Dior, Génération Foot secured their first win of the season, defeating Guédiawaye FC 2-0. This marks the third loss for the suburban club in their last four matches.
In Diourbel, Sonacos (7th, 5 pts) were held to a draw by Teungueth FC (5th, 8 pts): 0-0. The same scoreline was seen in the match between AS Pikine (9th, 5 pts) and Stade de Mbour (4th, 8 pts).
