Liverpool : Ibrahima Konaté sur le départ
Ibrahima Konaté's time at Liverpool is drawing to a close. Despite Arne Slot's departure and the expected arrival of Andoni Iraola as Reds manager, the French centre-back's situation is not expected to change.
According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Konaté has already informed his teammates of his decision to leave the club when his contract expires next June. Discussions regarding an extension have not been successful, and no change of heart is currently anticipated.
A World Cup runner-up with France in 2022, the 27-year-old is coming off a stellar season with Liverpool, having played 36 Premier League matches and scored one goal. Selected by Didier Deschamps for the 2026 World Cup, he is attracting interest from several top European clubs.
Among the most serious contenders is Real Madrid, who are closely monitoring the situation surrounding the French defender. A new chapter in his career could therefore begin this summer.
