Lutte avec frappe : Le Cngl adopte de nouvelles règles sur les blessures avant combat
The National Wrestling Management Committee (CNGL) announced in a circular dated November 3, 2025, the implementation of new regulations aimed at better managing wrestler injuries prior to official matches. This decision follows several recent incidents that disrupted the organization of wrestling events in the arenas.
According to the text signed by the president of the Cngl, Malick Ngom, from now on, any wrestler injured before the scheduled date of his fight remains "liable" for his initial commitment and will not be able to fight for another promoter until this contract is honored.
The system also provides a solution for the injured wrestler's opponent, who is allowed to request a new fight from the same promoter so as not to remain inactive during the period of unavailability.
The statement adds that beyond a period of three months, if the initial duel cannot be rescheduled, the opponent will then be able to freely contract another fight with another promoter.
For the Cngl, these measures aim to protect promoters, preserve sporting fairness and ensure the credibility of the fight calendar, which is regularly undermined by late withdrawals or changes of opponents.
