Lutte : Baye Alé Ndiaye dévoile un calendrier explosif pour la saison 2025-2026
Wrestling promoter and CEO of Albourakh Events, Baye Alé Ndiaye, unveiled the official calendar and roadmap for the 2025-2026 wrestling season this Thursday, January 22nd. The season is already shaping up to be promising and historic, culminating in the highly anticipated Modou Lo/Sa Thiès wrestling match, scheduled for April 5th, 2026.
An ambitious and enticing program
Speaking to the press, Baye Ndiaye presented a comprehensive and well-structured program, the result of collaborative work. He warmly thanked his brother Aziz Ndiaye and all his colleagues, praising their efforts in developing and implementing his program, which officially begins on February 1, 2026.
Four key dates to remember
The season's calendar revolves around four key dates:
February 1, 2026: official opening of the season; April 5, 2026, royal fight Modou Lo vs Sa Thiès, a duel eagerly awaited by wrestling fans; June 14, 2026, clash between Prince Ndiago of Pikine and Lac de Guiers 2 and in July 2026, a grand season closing fight announced as a major clash, the identity of the wrestlers remains deliberately kept secret.
Towards stricter regulations for wrestling
Wrestling promoter Baye Alé Ndiaye took the opportunity to advocate for better regulation of the wrestling sector, calling for clarification of the criteria defining who is authorized to be a promoter. For him, professionalization requires rigorous organization and a clear regulatory framework.
Royal combat: unprecedented innovations
The Modou Lo/Sa Thiès fight will feature several major innovations. Aziz Ndiaye's brother notably announced the deployment of buses dedicated exclusively to the royal fight, on board which two journalists will follow each wrestler to provide interviews and immersive content.
Institutional visits are also planned with the Dakar city hall, administrative authorities as well as the defense and security forces (police and gendarmerie) in order to guarantee optimal security for supporters and those involved in the wrestling.
Enhanced security and professional organization
Baye Ndiaye assures that security will be in place, with the support of state authorities who have announced severe measures against violence related to the fight.
He promises impeccable organization, including an Open Press with three platforms, allowing media professionals to work in optimal conditions.
To restore wrestling to its true face
Determined to "revolutionize wrestling", Baye Ndiaye aims to restore Senegalese wrestling's prestige by correcting the disorder, lack of organization and lack of civic responsibility which, according to him, weaken the discipline.
Warning to wrestlers
The promoter also issued a clear warning to wrestlers under contract with Albourakh Events: promoting sponsors is a contractual obligation. Any breach will result in financial penalties, with direct deductions from the wrestlers' earnings.
Ama Baldé/Siteu and the Balla Gaye 2 case
Regarding the Ama Baldé/Siteu fight, Baye Ndiaye indicates that discussions are continuing without a final agreement for the time being.
However, there's good news for fans of the Lion of Guédiawaye: Balla Gaye 2 won't be taking a year off. The head of Albourakh Events confirms that a fight is planned for him this season and that the wrestler is already in full preparation.
