Lutte sénégalaise : La FSL suspend les face-à-face et les open press
The Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL) has decided to suspend, as a precautionary measure, all face-to-face meetings and open press conferences. This measure aims to address the deteriorating atmosphere surrounding wrestling events and the increase in incidents observed in recent months.
In a statement, the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL) cited a rise in violence during these events, endangering the safety of wrestlers, coaches, and the public, and damaging the image of Senegalese wrestling. The federation specifically mentioned recent sanctions imposed on certain wrestlers and the disturbances that occurred during the competition days.
Taken in consultation with the relevant authorities, this decision aims to calm tensions, prevent disturbances, and strengthen security around galas. The federation calls on all stakeholders to act responsibly and strictly adhere to this measure, under penalty of disciplinary action.
The FSL reaffirms its commitment to working closely with the defense and security forces to ensure wrestling competitions take place in a safe and peaceful environment.
