Lutte sénégalaise : Talfa suspendu un an par la FSL
The new Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL) has clearly stated its intention to restore discipline and order to the arena. A few days after the match between Talfa and Amanekh, the first sanctions were imposed following the incidents that occurred during their encounter.
Summoned this morning to the National Arena for a hearing, the two wrestlers learned their fate. Talfa received a one-year suspension, with six months to be served, for his involvement in the altercation that marred their last encounter. Amanekh, on the other hand, received warnings.
Through this decision, the FSL is sending a strong signal to all stakeholders in Senegalese wrestling. The governing body intends to put an end to the acts of violence that, for several months, have tarnished the image of this national sport, both before and after matches, as well as during face-offs.
This sanction is part of a drive to clean up the arena desired by the new federal team, determined to impose respect for the rules, discipline and fair play in order to preserve the credibility and safety of Senegalese wrestling.
