Maroc : Mohamed Ouahbi prend les rênes des Lions de l’Atlas (officiel)
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has officially announced the appointment of Mohamed Ouahbi as the new head coach of the Moroccan national team. He succeeds Walid Regragui, whose departure was recently announced by the governing body of Moroccan football.
Until now the coach of the Moroccan U20 team, Mohamed Ouahbi distinguished himself by leading the young team to a world title in 2025. A success that strengthened his credibility and convinced the federation to entrust him with the leadership of the Atlas Lions.
To carry out his mission, the Moroccan coach will be supported by a reinforced staff, notably with the presence of the Portuguese coach João Sacramento.
In his first reaction after his appointment, Mohamed Ouahbi expressed his pride and sense of responsibility. "I am aware of the expectations, very honored, and I commit to working with determination, humility, and patriotism," he said.
His appointment marks the beginning of a new cycle for the Moroccan national team, with the ambition to continue the performances of national football on the continental and international stage.
