Marseille : Robinio Vaz, un nouveau défi en Serie A pour l’espoir d’origine sénégalaise
It's now official. Olympique de Marseille and AS Roma have reached an agreement for the transfer of Robinio Vaz.
According to "L'Équipe", the young striker joins the Italian club on a six-month loan with an obligation to buy, for a total amount estimated at 25 million euros including bonuses.
At just 18 years old, the French striker of Senegalese origin is thus preparing to take an important step in his young career.
For Vaz, this move to Serie A represents a fantastic opportunity for development. The Italian league, renowned for its tactical demands and the defensive discipline of its teams, should allow him to mature, develop his game intelligence, and improve his finishing. Playing for Roma, currently near the top of the table, will also give him greater exposure on the European stage.
Having already delivered impressive performances with Marseille, Robinio Vaz is seen as one of the brightest prospects in world football. Senegalese fans readily refer to him as "a national priority," echoing the statement of national team coach Pape Thiaw, who envisions him as a future Lions of Teranga player. This transfer further confirms the confidence placed in his potential.
In Rome, the Senegalese-born striker is expected to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract. This long-term project demonstrates the Italian club's commitment to his development. For Vaz, it's the start of a new adventure, with the ambition of gradually establishing himself in Serie A and continuing to grow, ultimately representing Senegal on the international stage.
