Médias : Emmanuel Macron réagit à l’arrêt de "Téléfoot"
TF1's decision to end the iconic "Téléfoot" program starting next summer continues to generate numerous reactions. In an interview with "Paris Match," President Emmanuel Macron expressed his deep attachment to this essential part of French football.
Created in 1977, "Téléfoot" has left its mark on several generations of viewers. For the head of state, the show represented much more than just a sports program. He describes it as a true Sunday ritual, a moment of sharing where football was discussed with passion, simplicity, and conviviality.
"For almost fifty years, 'Téléfoot' has been a familiar appointment for the French. Thanks to the talent of its presenters, the show has been able to deal with a major subject with lightness and enthusiasm," he said.
Emmanuel Macron also emphasizes the unifying role of the program, which has become over time a true "family reunion" of French football.
The president recalls having himself thrilled to the rhythm of the great moments of football, in particular the epics of Olympique de Marseille and those of the French team, through the reports and debates offered by the program.
With the announced closure, an important chapter in French audiovisual history comes to a close. For many, including the president, "Téléfoot" will remain a powerful symbol and a landmark in the sports media landscape.
