Mercato: Après huit ans à Liverpool, Robertson rejoint Tottenham
Robertson leaves Liverpool and joins Tottenham. Having arrived in 2017 from Hull City, Andy Robertson will officially continue his career at Tottenham Hotspur. Out of contract with the Reds, the 32-year-old left-back has signed with the London club, who confirmed his arrival on Friday.
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that the Scottish international will officially join the squad on July 1st, the date his contract with Liverpool FC expires. After eight seasons on Merseyside, Robertson is thus preparing to take on a new challenge in the Premier League. This season, the defender made 36 appearances in all competitions and scored three goals. Known for his tireless work on the left flank, his crossing ability, and his leadership, he leaves behind a significant legacy at Liverpool, where he won several major trophies.
At Tottenham, Robertson's arrival has been met with enthusiasm. The club's sporting director, Johan Lange, made no secret of his satisfaction. "First and foremost, he's an exceptional left-back, one of the best of all time in the Premier League, and a player who will improve our squad. Andy's professionalism and commitment will also be invaluable to the development of our team," he said.
