Neymar avec le Brésil
In a press conference this Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti addressed the speculation surrounding Neymar's injury. The Brazilian national team coach confirmed that the striker will remain with the squad despite his physical problem and that no changes will be made to the list of selected players.
Faced with numerous speculations regarding a possible absence of the Brazilian star, the Italian coach was categorical. "To be clear, he will remain with us until the day he is recovered and available," Ancelotti declared.
The coach even mentioned an optimistic timeline for Neymar's return to competition. According to him, the number 10 could be fit for the first match of the tournament. If not, he should be back on the pitch for the second match.
“We think he will be fit for the first match. If not, it will be for the second match. We have no doubt that we will not change anyone. The selected players are these 26, and these are the 26 who will play in the World Cup,” insisted the former Real Madrid coach.
Although Neymar is currently unable to participate in group training sessions, Ancelotti nevertheless emphasized his excellent physical condition. The player is following a tailored individual program and remains fully focused on his return.
"Unfortunately, Neymar has had this small problem which prevents him from training with the group, but he is in very good form individually," concluded the Italian coach.
