It's the end of the road for Louis François Mendy at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. Unfortunately, the Senegalese athlete was unable to finish his race in the semifinals, thus seeing his hopes of reaching the final dashed.
Despite this elimination, Mendy has confirmed his progress and his status as one of Africa's best hurdlers. His goal now will be to bounce back quickly for the next international competitions.
